Job Description: Senior service desk engineer (MSP)

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Borehamwood for a senior Service Desk Engineer (MSP). As part of the service desk team, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical support for client issues that have been escalated by the 1st and 2nd Line Service Desk Engineers. You will work with a variety of technologies and join our friendly, supportive team as a key member of the Service Desk. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing IT infrastructure, cloud, hardware, software, and networking systems for clients.
Qualifications

A bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience

Knowledge of Windows Server Platforms, Virtualisation technologies, Backup solutions, Networking technologies (LAN, WAN, and WLAN), Cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure and/or AWS), Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, and Terminal Services

Experience with operating systems including Windows Server 2012+ and Windows 10

Experience with PowerShell and scripting languages is a plus.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.

Experience in an MSP environment is preferred.

Relevant IT certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNP, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
