Piping Designer


Piping Design Engineer ( ideally with PDMS/ E3D) x 1 Piping Designer (ideally with PDMS/ E3D ) x 2 This staff opportunity would suit a recently graduated / qualified Designer or Design Engineer with 3 + years CAD experience in a process industry. Or a more experienced designer without a degree but a good level of process industry experience. All applicants must have a degree . Working with our bluechip client based in the Cheshire area, we are looking for two Piping Designer and a further more experienced Piping Design Engineer to join an innovative technology company dedicated to developing advanced solutions that contribute to a sustainable energy mix. You will be part of an international team working together with Engineers from other European offices eg Germany. This role is in a very sensitive part of the nuclear industry and requires a high level of security clearance which for a UK passport holder ( Not dual nationality) will take 3-4 months to achieve. They are a forward-thinking and innovative technology company that is committed to driving positive change in the energy sector As a Piping Designer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, contributing to the design and implementation of advanced pipework systems for sustainable energy solutions. Your expertise will directly impact the success of projects and play a vital role in shaping a cleaner and more sustainable energy landscape. Our client is ideally looking for candidates with good levels of experience with PDMS or E3D but they are now willing to provide the correct candidate with training on E3D or PDMS CAD systems. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop plant layout plans in cooperation with the responsible process engineers and our client's customers Develop concept designs for process pipework, including physical arrangements, routing optimisation and pipework support structures. Model and drawing creation using E3D (AVEVA) Detailed designs and sequencing for in-house manufacturing Participation in steel construction planning and coordination of steel construction and earthquake calculations Presentation of designs to internal stakeholders and external customers Attend single and multi-discipline Design Reviews. Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of all client's pipework designs. Provide pipework engineering support to manufacturing department during production of pipework systems. Provide support for installation and testing of pipework systems at the customer sites. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Completed studies in mechanical engineering or related subject Several years of expertise in the construction of piping for process / chemical plants Knowledge of EU and US standards (EN; ASME) Experience in using E3D or PDMS preferred. Structured, precise, efficient and result-oriented way of working A high degree of customer orientation, motivation, flexibility and teamwork Experienced use of MS Office tools Flexible approach and willing to undertake UK and Overseas travel. Minimum Security Clearance (SC). Benefits: Excellent Salary plus annual bonus estimatred at £3.3K per year.
