Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Kent £65k - £78k Company An established principal contractor that complete projects throughout London and Home Counties areas with values ranging from £100k to £15m in value. Projects completed are predominately refurbishment and alteration works with a small amount of new build. Area of work are focused within the healthcare and education although some works are also within the commercial and industrial sectors. The company are financially secure and have an enviable client list and order book. Senior Quantity Surveyor You will be taking full financial responsibility on projects allocated from initial tender stage through to final account and handover. You will need solid refurbishment experience, ideally within the health, education or commercial sectors, be well organised with great communication and negotiation skills; able to work within clients and sub-contractors to ensure best value and profits maintained. You will: * Have a relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying – highly desirable but not essential * A minimum of three years experience managing your own projects * Experience of working for a main contractor within refurbishment projects (not social housing) * Able to deliver projects from initial tender through to final account * Ability to work within a fast paced and pressurised environment * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Commercially and contractually aware * Keen to develop within a main contractor * Stable work history * Full UK Drivers Licence This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS looking for their next challenge within a principle contractor that complete projects throughout London and Home Counties areas.
