Production Team Leaders
to join our team based in
Selby.
You will join us on a
full time, permanent basis
and in return will receive a
competitive salary of GBP34,600 per annum inclusive of shift premium 26.33%,
plus there is an opportunity to earn 15-minute handover per shift.
As a Production Team leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the production line and associated equipment, from the raw materials in to finished product out. You will be pro-active in coordinating activities associated with the production line and be fundamental in maintaining and improving upon; production, scrap, KPI s and OEE figures.
You will be used to working within a shift pattern and be prepared to be flexible within the workplace. You will be proactive, and be a good team player with a can do attitude .
Responsibilities of our Production Team Leaders:

Managing/performing the day-to-day operation of the department/ line; Maximising utilisation, OEE and output, Minimising losses including scrap.

Understanding, monitoring and application of personal and team behaviours which have a positive impact over: Health and safety, energy, environmental and quality performance and compliance.

Communicating company vision, targets, achievements and deficiencies.

Supporting and promoting effective communication within the team.
-
Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
-
Being responsible for monitoring personal performance and following a program of personal development.

Ensuring performance is achieved and maintained through the training & development of team members.
What we are looking for in our Production Team Leaders:
You will have:
-
High level of processes/ machinery skills, knowledge and ability
-
A professional qualification within the health & safety field (IOSH managing safely or equivalent)
-
Previous experience working in a factory/ manufacturing process environment
-
The ability to follow instruction and production schedules
-
Flexible and willing to be trained in multiple areas whatever department and area this may be
-
Basic understanding of touch screen technology
-
Experience of working with various IT programs i.e. MS Word, Excel
-
Be a good team player with a Can do attitude
-
Management experience
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
The ability to act quickly when problems arise
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:

Accredited lift truck training
-
A professional qualification within the supervisory or management field (ILM Level3 or equivalent)

Full Driving license
