HGV Class 2 Drainage

Vector are recruiting for an HGV Class 2 driver position with a well-known local main contractor specialising in infrastructure and utilities, particularly in drainage. Here's a breakdown of the key information:

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS DRAINAGE EXPERIENCE

• The company is a locally based main contractor specialising in infrastructure and utilities.
• They have an urgent need for HGV Class 2 drivers for their drainage contract.

Job Requirements:

• Previous drainage experience is desirable
• You must hold an HGV Class 2 license and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Willingness to undertake physical work associated with maintaining the drainage network.
• Desirable but not essential qualifications include Streetworks, HPWJ (High-Pressure Water Jetting), Confined Space, and First Aid.

Job Description:

• The primary responsibility is to safely drive an HGV Class 2 Vacuum Tanker.
• Maintenance of the utility's drainage network is a core aspect of the job.
• Drivers will need to exit the vehicle and use equipment to maintain the drainage network.
• Work is typically carried out in pairs to divide the workload.

Shift Pattern:#

• The working hours are Monday to Friday from 6 am to 4 pm.
• There may be an on-call rota.

Pay:

• The pay rate ranges from GBP14.50 to GBP15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
• Overtime is compensated at time and a half.

Contract Type:

• This is initially a temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
