Are you someone who is passionate about promoting the value of PRE to students? Are you able to inspire students to a love of your subject whilst also maintaining the highest expectations for academic achievement? Are you able to lead and manage with high standards of integrity and organisation? If so, we would be thrilled to hear from you.
We are supporting a good coeducation secondary school with sixth form who is seeking an expert Curriculum Leader for Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) . They are looking for an individual who can build on the excellent work of the current postholder who is relocating to a different part of the UK. Over the past five years, PRE has become one of the most successful and respected subjects in the school, studied by all students with a thriving KS4 cohort in both GCSE short course (to Year 10) and full course Religious Studies. They expect that the successful candidate will be interested in developing our A-Level offer in either Religious Studies or Philosophy.
They are committed to developing excellence in teaching and learning, underpinned by research evidence and the principles of cognitive science. They believe in working collaboratively to develop a high-quality centralised curriculum to ensure all students have a consistently excellent learning experience and the best possible chance of success, as well as ensuring a manageable workload for staff. If you have the knowledge, skills and desire required to excel in this role, we would love to have you as part of our staff team.
The school have nearly 1100 students on roll, including a successful and growing Sixth Form. Our staff tell us they genuinely feel like part of a team; a team who are striving to help each student flourish both academically and personally.
