Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical components and systems for a variety of projects. This position requires a minimum of an HND in Engineering, with a preference for candidates holding a degree. While 3D CAD competence is essential, experience with SolidWorks is preferred, although not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand design requirements and specifications. * Utilize 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) to develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings. * Conduct analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with engineering standards. * Prototype and test mechanical components and systems to evaluate performance and reliability. * Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance and feedback to team members. * Identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction while maintaining quality standards. * Maintain accurate documentation and records of design iterations, modifications, and test results. * Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering technologies. Requirements: * Minimum of an HND in Engineering, with a degree preferred. * Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with experience in SolidWorks preferred. * Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Effective communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Package: * Job Type: Full-time – 37 hours per week. Finish at 1 pm on Fridays. * 5 weeks holidays plus bank holidays. * Company Contributed Pension scheme and 2 x salary life cover. * Salary Range: £35,000 - £50,000 Depending on experience
