Service Charge Accountant

A nationwide property management company is searching for a Service Charge Accountant based in Tunbridge Wells. Role Purpose: Support the business in overseeing the rent and service charge accounting for its extensive residential and commercial property portfolios. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of rent and service charge accounts to strict deadlines. Manage rent and service charge requirements. Production of residential and commercial service charge and Year End accounts. Production and Assistance to Property Managers in the preparation of service charge budgets. Liaising with the property managers/clients/leaseholders regarding any accounting queries. Assisting stakeholders in the understanding of the service charge accounts and processes where necessary. Support in banking/cashiering. Streamline and review current processes to ensure maximum efficiency. Take on ad-hoc duties as requested by the finance team and business. General Day to day administration in support of the team. Provide support during annual audits. To undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects as instructed by the line manager. Skills: Prior knowledge of the property sector and service charge accounting essential. Sage 50 experience and QUBE preferable. Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. Ability to build relationships across the business working closely with other departments. Motivated self-starter who shows initiative. Self -motivated, proactive with the ability to use your own initiative. Overall sound general Finance knowledge.
