Electrician


Electrical Technicians with a vehicle background are required for some installation and maintenance roles in Milton Keynes, working on a wide range of railway vehicles, on a Monday to Friday shift pattern. The Opportunity With lots of hours available to the right individual if wanted, we are looking for self-motivated individuals who love working in an engineering environment, seeing passenger trains go from cradle-to-grave through the full overhaul and refurbishment project, your input will be crucial to the delivery of these programmes. Location(s): Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Role and Responsibilities Full strip-outs of outdated or faulty electrical systems Electrical fault-finding, testing and maintenance Using analogue diagnostics tools such as multi-meters and flukes to diagnose a variety of electrical faults Completing testing activities to check for continuity, insulation and other common faults The Candidate Comfortable working on early and late shifts from Monday to Friday Able to commit to a minimum of 50 hours of work per week Essential NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline Background completing electrical installation or maintenance on vehicles Able to work in Milton Keynes on weekdays Desirable Rolling Stock / Rail Industry experience Likely Job Titles:  Electrical Technician, Electrical Fitter, Rail Electrician, Rolling Stock Electrical Technician, Vehicle Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Technician About Ford & Stanley Group Ford & Stanley Group are in the business of people and performance.
