Mechanical Estimator

Job description: Our client is a Tier 1 contractor looking for an Mechanical Estimator with water sector experience, this is a remote role with occasional travel to the Manchester office when required. You will work on both project and tender estimating delivering estimated on a range of interesting projects across the company. This is an excellent opportunity for career enhancement on various infrastructure projects, particular in the water sector. Duties: - Working closely within either a bid or project team and be responsible for the preparation of the analytical estimates - Preparation of all elements of major project estimates including preliminaries (On-cost) pricing - Presentation of the estimate at bid team meetings and final settlement of bid - Managing, supervising and allocating work of subordinates within Estimating Team, review final submission deadlines. - working to strict deadlines - preparations of quantities from drawings and specifications. - Contribute to identification of risk and pricing of risks throughout the bid and contribute to submission documentation preparation. Requirements: - Degree level qualified or equivalent in a Civil Engineering related discipline - Demonstrated experience working as an Estimator for a major civils/M&E contractor - Experienced pricing medium to large value projects - Water treatment and Process engineering experience essential - Champions Sustainability Safety, Health, and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive - Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way - Must be customer focused by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating, and meeting their needs
