WANTED x 2 – Highways Design Engineer & Senior Design Engineer – One of UK’s Busiest Tier 1 Main Contractors with an In-house design team – Grimsby – Civil Engineering / Highways schemes *Includes Hybrid / some remote working* Ideal opportunities for an Intermediate Highway Design Engineer and a Senior Highway Design Engineer, x 2 jobs available. Also open to consider a Junior Engineer seeking promotion. Role: As Highway Design Engineer your role will include: * Deliver highway designs through AutoCAD & associated design packages including Key Line & Key Sign. * Attend Consultation events * Prepare tender packages including drawings, bills of quantities, specifications and Pre-Construction Health & Safety Plans. * Prepare cost estimates for client budgeting purposes. * Ensure all designs are in accordance with current design standards. * Undertake site supervision of highway and infrastructure projects. * Develop and maintain excellent client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring repeat business, added value, and client satisfaction. * Be involved in project management and technical delivery of projects from inception through to completion of project. * To ensure all designs are CDM 2015 compliant. * Manage and co-ordinate personal workload to achieve project deliverables within the agreed time, quality and financial objectives. * Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be expected at this job level. Requirements: To be considered for this Highway Design Engineer role you must meet the following criteria: - Knowledge of highways sector. - Previous employment as a Highways Design Engineer, Civil Design Engineer, Designer, Project Engineer or similar. -Previous employment with an engineering design consultancy or similar. -Qualified to HND/C level or equivalent. -A knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets. -Knowledge and understanding of DMRB design standards -Understanding of Health and Safety legislation, experience of CDM Regulations 2015. -Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Key Signs & Key Lines. -The flexibility to travel to various project sites and consultation events Remuneration: The successful Highway Design Engineer will receive: -Competitive Basic (Dependent on experience) -Pension -Life cover -Employee discount schemes.
