Yard Operative £25,000 - £27,500 Permanent role Rural West Malling Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm 25 days annual leave (plus 8 days bank holidays) Life insurance, Enhanced Pension Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, ongoing development opportunities Immediate interviews and start available We are working in partnership with a market-leading manufacturer within the construction sector who are looking for a Yard Operative to join their team. This is a really varied, exciting role for the successful Yard Operative where no two days will be the same. The first three months will be more office-based and will see you focusing on the drivers' paperwork (both incoming and outgoing); tracking KPI's and running reports. You will then be trained on their B1 forklifts and alternate your time between loading and unloading lorries in the year and liaising with the drivers and actioning their paperwork. The key duties for this Yard Operative are: Issuing the relevant paperwork to inbound and outbound delivery drivers Tracking KPI's Running daily reports for the Yard Manager Using forklift to load and unload different types of articulated vehicles and placing goods in the designated areas Performing daily maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tyre pressures, battery charge etcThe key skills / experience required for this Yard Operative are: Previous Microsoft Office experience and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes Willing to be trained on a forklift and work within a yard setting A keen, willing attitude and the want to learn and be multi-skilled An open-minded approach to new processes and proceduresInterviews are taking place immediately - please apply now!
