Hours of Work: * 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Term Time Pay Structure:SEN TA: £85-£95 daily rate Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in Challenging Behaviours, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include: * Behaviour Mentoring: Implementing tailored strategies to support students with challenging behaviours, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. * Individualized Support: Providing one-on-one assistance to students, ensuring their unique needs are met and facilitating their academic and social development. * Collaborative Planning: Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans. * Promoting Inclusivity: Championing diversity and inclusion within the classroom and wider school community, celebrating the unique strengths and talents of each student. * Personalized Learning: Assisting with the adaptation of curriculum materials and resources to accommodate students’ varying abilities and learning styles. Requirements: * Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly in managing challenging behaviours. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers. * Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Relevant qualifications and training in special educational needs, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, would be advantageous.
