Position Overview: We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant with experience leading interventions for groups of children to join a vibrant school community in Hendon, London. This role involves working with small groups of students and providing support to the teacher and room leader in a collaborative classroom setting. Key Responsibilities: * Group Intervention Leadership: Lead targeted intervention sessions for small groups of Key Stage 1 students, implementing tailored learning activities and strategies to support their academic progress and development. * Collaborative Classroom Support: Assist the teacher and room leader in delivering engaging lessons and activities, contributing to the creation of a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for all students. * Individualized Support: Provide personalized support to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching approaches and interventions to meet their unique learning needs. * Promote Inclusivity: Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, celebrating diversity and respecting the individuality of each child. * Partnership with Parents: Establish positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support their learning at home. Qualities of the Ideal Candidate: * Experience in Intervention Leadership: Demonstrate experience leading interventions or small group activities for Key Stage 1 students, with a focus on supporting their academic and developmental needs. * Proactive and Engaging: Be proactive in identifying opportunities to support student learning and engagement, demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm in delivering interventions and classroom activities. * Team Player: Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teachers and room leaders, to ensure cohesive and coordinated support for all students within the classroom. * Adaptability: Be adaptable and flexible in responding to the evolving needs of students, adjusting teaching strategies and interventions as necessary to maximize their learning outcomes. * Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and positive interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. Requirements: * Relevant Experience: Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting, preferably within Key Stage 1. Experience leading interventions or group activities is essential. * Enhanced DBS Clearance: Hold an Enhanced DBS Clearance on the Child Only Barred List, or be willing to undergo the necessary checks before employment.
