Cad Designer

We are seeking an CAD Designer to work for a joinery manufacturer in Leeds called specialising in shop-fittings and bespoke commercial furniture. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join the team. As a Technical Designer you will play a pivotal role in translating design concepts into precise, manufacturable joinery solutions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and functionality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate closely with our sales team to understand project requirements and client expectations. * Translate design concepts and sketches into detailed technical drawings and specifications. * Create 3D models and to visualize designs and assist with project presentations. * Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on design modifications to optimize manufacturability. * Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware while considering cost-efficiency and quality. * Work closely with production team, providing technical guidance and support throughout the manufacturing process. Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Technical Designer in the bespoke joinery or woodworking industry. * Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks). * Strong knowledge of joinery construction techniques and woodworking processes. * Knowledge of materials, finishes, and hardware commonly used in bespoke joinery. * Knowledge of Bespoke Joinery Manufacturing is critical.
