Laboratory Operative

Laboratory Operative Basingstoke £11.44ph Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Early finish Friday 2.30pm. On-going temporary role We are currently recruiting for a Lab Operative to work in Basingstoke. No previous experience for this position is required. If you have studied or worked within a science field that would be beneficial, but not essential. Due to the nature of the business you will need to be aged over 18 and be able to repeatedly lift 10kg boxes. To resupply/order consumables To prepare stock plates and media To assist in maintenance of all stock cultures To notify the engineering Dept and line management of equipment faults To provide support for the Curator To wash all laboratory glassware by hand or dishwasher To ensure the laundry is maintained for all laboratories To ensure the laboratory personnel are provided with pre-specified consumables on a weekly basis e.g. agar plates, Petri-dishes, glassware, etc. Alerting the QC Team Leader/ Lead Scientist of potential problems/failuresAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
