Materials Buyer

The Materials Buyer will be responsible for the strategic procurement of materials and services within the industrial/manufacturing sector, based in Liverpool. Description Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms Optimise sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costsProfile A successful Materials Buyer should have: Proven experience within Purchasing Strong communication skills across all levels of internal and external stakeholder An understanding of supply chain procedures Driven with the ability to multi-task and make sound judgements Job Offer A competitive salary package, ranging between £30,000 and £35,000 per annum 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Early finish Fridays!
