Fundraising Assistant


Fundraising Assistant Location: Stonehouse Hours: Full Time – 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum Key Responsibilities of a Fundraising Assistant: * Be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email and post and signpost to relevant members of the Fundraising team where appropriate * Record and send fundraising information and materials to community and challenge event participants * Ensure thank you letters/certificates and emails are written in an appropriate and timely manner * Support our High Value Partnerships Manager with the administration and guest communications associated with special events * Proactively use the database to develop and manage supporters and ensure all activity and correspondence is recorded accurately, as well as supporting the team’s financial processes * Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of fundraising activity and maintain the processes behind registration and online giving platforms * Help keep track of fundraising merchandise stock and reorder when necessary * Help to actively promote participation in fundraising events to supporters * Build, manage and maintain rewarding relationships with existing and new supporters as well as teams across the organisation * Continuously aim to improve the efficiency of administration processes necessary for the smooth running of the fundraising department * General fundraising/administration duties, as and when required * The duties of the post may very occasionally require some weekend and evening work for which TOIL will be given Key Skills of a Fundraising Assistant: * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team * Competent in Microsoft Office * Keen eye for detail and accuracy * Full UK driving licence
