Process Engineer - Manufacturing & Engineering - Leicester - Up to £60,000   About the company   Our client is looking for a Process Engineer working for a multi-site operation within general engineering and materials sector, supplying Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, motorsports and Marine. The business is very well established and with recent investments propelling the business into other sectors has been rewarded with several key accounts. This allows them to further invest and develop its sites and people.   Process Engineer – The Rewards Salary up to £60,000 Benefits Package  Free on-site parking Pension scheme Long term growth opportunities within a growing business.  Process Engineer – Requirements Time served in an engineering/technical/manufacturing field of comparable experience. Ability to create and manage plans - communicate both direction, resource management and road to success. Experience of using CADD/CAM systems; Catia v5 and Alpha CAM currently being used. Design and creation of tooling and fixtures - concept to industrialisation Create NC programming (3 and 5-axis milling of composite) Generate technical instructions and routings Proven experience of improving part right first time (PRFT) using detailed data driven process capability development Working knowledge and experience of both Lean and 6-Sigma/5S principles Proficient in the use of relevant IT tools - MS Office and Teams Must work in a disciplined and structured way, with meticulous record keeping and good planning skills Self-motivated with a desire to succeed in a complex and challenging environment Ability to generate high quality procedures, and documentation, with effective change control Practical hands-on capability and understanding of 'why' and ability to communicate benefit A good facilitator and communicator who can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team A passionate team player keen to take ownership of work packages  Process Engineer - Responsibilities Reporting to the Production Manager you will create, validate and establish manufacturing controls for composite, machining and assembly processes. Risk analysis and process surveillance eliminate all sources of risk and variation leading to non-conformance Interpret, understand and assess technical requirements of parts from different customer's CADD models, engineering drawings, specifications and instructions Provide methods, process instructions, tooling, NC programs to allow delivery of solutions within agreed timescales and an agreed cost Ensure thorough-out the development and validation phase that effective change control is maintained and that each process is developed with the highest integrity and attention to detail Where processes are incapable, create, plan and conduct trials and as required acquire new technology with testing in line with DoE and TRL methodologies to achieve the required level of capability Apply Lean Six Sigma / 5S principals and methods to achieve world class manufacturing performance Develop methods and processes that optimise recurring manufacturing costs in line with business needs.
