Pastoral Assistant


Amazing Opportunity: Pastoral Assistant needed! Are you a compassionate and supportive individual with a passion for promoting the well-being and personal development of students? We are looking for a caring pastoral assistant to join our team! About Our School: Our partnered school is dedicated to ensuring the academic, social and emotional progress of all its pupils. Theybelieves all children and young people are entitled to a nurturing environment that demonstrates care, empathy, and support. Responsibilities: As a pastoral assistant you will work closely with our pastoral team to provide essential support to students, promoting their personal development. Your responsibilities will include: Student Support: Provide 1:1 and group support to students, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to help them overcome obstacles. Behaviour Management: Assist in implementing and monitoring behaviour management strategies and interventions to support in developing positive attitudes, behaviour and relationships. Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly and effectively to students emotional and behavioural crises, providing reassurance, de-escalation, and appropriate referrals to relevant support services. Student Advocacy: Advocate for students needs and rights, working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies to ensure students receive the support and resources they need to thrive academically and personally. Well-being Initiatives: Collaborate with the pastoral team to develop and implement well-being initiatives, workshops, and programs to promote mental health, resilience and positive relationships within the school community. Requirements: To be successful in this role you will need: * An Enhanced DBS Check (or be willing to complete one) * Relevant personal experience or experience within an educational setting. * Strong communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students.
