My client is a leading supplier of food processing equipment and systems for various sectors. They are currently in need of a Environmental, Health & Safety Lead to join their team in Peterborough.
ROLE: To be familiar with all applicable Environmental, Health & Safety (E,H&S) legislation and to plan, implement, monitor and optimise management systems to ensure the company complies with its statutory obligations.

Previous experience in a similar role/environment is essential
Understanding of ISO 14001
Understanding of the application of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the company s business
Ability to effectively influence those at a senior level
Professional approach to dealing with issues and employees
Appreciation of confidentiality and discretion
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
Focused on delivering outstanding customer service to internal customers and contractors
IT literate with a comprehensive understanding of Windows based programmes including Word, Excel and Outlook is essential
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a range of people, both verbally and in writing
Strong teamwork skills are essential
Ability to act decisively in an emergency
Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, is essential.
BENEFITS:
183 Hours basic entitlement with 16 additional hours if no overtime Company gives 3 days between Christmas and New Year, and the normal 8 public holidays.

TRAVEL: Approximately 10-15% travel activity mainly based in the UK.

SALARY: GBP55,000 PER ANNUM
