Job title: Electrical Technician

Location: Joint Emergency Service Building Winbourne Road Poole, Dorset BH15 2BP

Length: 3 months initial contract to extend

Work hours: Mon-Thu 8am 4:30, and Fri 8am 4pm.

Pay Rate: GBP15.50/hour PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician for a FM Services and Engineering company.

This role requires you to Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and regulations. This includes wiring, lighting systems, electrical outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Some of other duties include;

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems or malfunctions in various systems and equipment. Use testing devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and voltage testers to identify issues accurately.

• Perform repairs on faulty electrical components or systems, including replacing damaged wiring, defective parts, or malfunctioning equipment to restore functionality and ensure safety.

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and prevent breakdowns or accidents.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Document any issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future actions.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Must have successfully completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role carrying out electrical maintenance duties. Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.

• Be competent to undertake/assist work on the type of building service systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought.

• Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken.
