Field Service Engineer – UK Wide Location: Bromborough Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Overtime + Pension + Car + Bonus + Benefits Days Based - Monday to Friday Reference: 5366/LW The Company My client is one of UK’s leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery solutions to a wide variety of fast moving manufacturing industries. They have over 100 employees on site in Bromborough. With a growing presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within a variety of food machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional service engineer. Job Role * To install, commission, service and repair a wide range of both Food and Pharmaceutical processing and packaging machinery. * This is a mobile role and travel will be required on a day-to-day basis. * When not travelling the FSE will be required to assist workshop based engineers to meet deadlines on new and rebuilt equipment prior to installation. Plus an element of guarding, repair and fault finding. * All work is carried out to meet all EU legislation with respect to CE marking. * The Engineer will work closely with both the Sales and Project departments. * The FSE will be part of an nine man team, two of which are based at the Bromborough workshop. * Must be able to commute to premises in Bromborough, Merseyside. Key requirements & skills Knowledge, skills and Experience * A qualified multi skilled engineer minimum of ONC with mechanical experience is desirable. * Previous experience of working within the Food/Pharmaceutical sector would be advantageous. * History of control and instrumentation involvement with knowledge, and understanding, on both HMI's and PLC's. * Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment would be an advantage. * Self-motivated and enthusiastic, the Engineer must be able to work as a team member but be equally proficient working without supervision and to apply initiative as necessary. * Good communication skills are essential to deal with customer enquiries relating to both engineering and possible future sales. * A full clean UK driving license is essential as is availability to visit customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland with occasional trips to Europe. Training Training will be offered on all applicable machinery during the initial period of employment. Package * Basic salary £40,000-£50,000 pa depending on experience, plus overtime. * Contractual Annual Bonus, equivalent to one month’s salary, paid in December each year (Pro-rated) * 15% Pension, Life insurance, Permanent Health insurance. * Profit Share Scheme (Paid out 1.6k last year) * A company car . * Mobile phone, iPad and laptop. * All relevant PPE supplied. * All tools supplied as appropriate. * 25 days annual leave, plus statutory Bank Holidays.
