Maths Teacher – Watford - Immediate start or September 2024! Are you an experienced teacher or newly qualified teacher looking for your next position? If so, read on! Supply Desk are currently recruiting on the behalf of a high achieving secondary school in Watford who are looking to recruit a Maths Teacher either to join immediately or for the right candidate, September 2024. This will be a temporary position on a long term basis continuing for a full academic year with the view to this becoming a permanent appoitment. You will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school that was graded “Good” in all areas in their latest Ofsted inspection. The role: Full Time – Monday to Friday You will be required to teach Maths to students between the ages of 11-16 years (KS3 and KS4) and there is an option to teach some KS5 Planning and preparing for lessons which cater to all students Marking and assessment to recap or extend the students learning as appropriate Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment Pay rates in line with teacher pay scale Requirements for the role: Must have QTS and experience teaching Maths up to and including GCSE Willingness to take on some intervention groups and booster sessions Strong behaviour management Ability to adapt teaching to cater for needs and abilities of all students, including lower/higher ability and SEN You will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to all students Will be required to apply for an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service The school: An outstanding School located in Watford that prides itself in instilling a life-long love of learning and laying the foundations for the future success of its students.
