Job Advert: Children with Disabilities Team (CWD) Location: Lambeth, London Salary: PO3 £44,862 rising in annual increments to £48,063 per annum incl. LW Employment Type: Permanent / Full Time / Hybrid working Are you passionate about supporting children with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives? Do you have experience in disability services and a commitment to promoting the rights and inclusion of children with disabilities and their families? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Children with Disabilities Team (CWD) at Lambeth Council. As a Social Worker in our CWD team, you will play a key role in providing holistic support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they have access to the resources, services, and opportunities they need to thrive. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, you will help to create inclusive environments where all children can reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families, addressing their unique needs and challenges. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities, identifying strengths, needs, and aspirations. Develop and implement support plans in collaboration with children, families, carers, and other professionals, ensuring they are person-centered and responsive to the individual needs of each child. Work collaboratively with partner agencies, disability services, health professionals, and support networks to coordinate holistic support services for children and families. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to services for children with disabilities.Requirements: Relevant social work qualification (Social Work England). Experience in disability services or working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, carers, and professionals. Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices in disability services.
