Project Support Manager

Responsibilities We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Support Manager to join the team in Watford with experience of running property fit out projects and kitchen installs. This is position that requires a proactive approach as you would need to work unsupervised and be effective in managing your own time and workloads. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Managing a project from set-up to handover and evaluation Monitor program of works and identify shortfalls and solutions. Planning of resources, including materials, labour, and sub-contractors Responsible for site health and safety from pre-contract stage through to project completion. Deliver projects to agreed program of works, standards, schedule, and budget. Manage and ensure team are complying with project specification. Control and analysis of cost.   Attend and contribute to client and contracts meetings. Collate, manage, and sign off works completed and compare this to payment applications. Record variations from site and liaise with the project office. Ensure quality of workmanship in line company expectations Personal Attributes This is position that requires a proactive approach as you would need to work unsupervised and be effective in managing your own time and workloads. You must have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to manage a varied workload on your own initiative. Skills and Experience:  Previous shopfitting experience including fit out projects, Displays, furniture installs, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Tiling. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice affecting site management. Experience managing complex design interfaces. Organising fitting and installation teams to maximise productivity and efficiency. Looking after Kitchen Installations and helping to Manage projects in progress. Good commercial awareness and the ability to challenge contractors.       Key and essential requirements: Full UK Driving Licence. SMSTS CSCS Construction / Project Management related Degree or NVQ Equivalent (Desirable) Knowledge of Building Control Laws, H&S & CDM Ability to read and understand complex architectural and design plans. Comfortable with regular travel including periods of stay away from home. Kitchens / Bathrooms / Bedrooms & Tiles Installation. Mechanical & Electrical Installation Retail fit out installation
