SEN Primary Teacher

Position: SEN Primary Class Teacher (Monday to Thursday) Grade: Pathway 2 Learners (Years 4-6) About the Class: We are working with an Outstanding SEN school that is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Class Teacher for their older Pathway 2 learners, comprising Years 4-6, for the upcoming Summer Term. The students in this class exhibit speech, language, and communication needs, along with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They are concrete thinkers who thrive on visual and kinaesthetic learning experiences. With cognitive levels ranging between 2 to 5 years, they require tailored teaching methods to ensure effective engagement. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver highly personalised lessons tailored to the cognitive levels and learning styles of the students. Collaborate with the class team, including teaching assistants, speech and language therapist, and occupational therapist, to provide comprehensive support to the students. Utilize the Link Curriculum Priorities to address students' emotional and social education needs, fostering self-esteem and a positive attitude towards learning. Requirements: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with speech, language, and communication needs and/or ASD. Ability to create and implement visual and kinaesthetic learning materials. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
