Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1), tailored to their individual needs and abilities. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement, independence, and social interaction. Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural interventions effectively. Utilize ASD-specific teaching strategies and resources to support the development of communication, social skills, and academic progress. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular reviews and meetings with parents and multi-disciplinary teams. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching children with ASD. Strong understanding of EYFS and KS1 curriculum frameworks and how to adapt them to meet the needs of children with ASD. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience implementing ASD-specific teaching strategies and interventions, such as visual supports, structured teaching, and sensory integration techniques.
