Senior Site Manager

Currently looking for an Oxford based Senior Site Manager for a main contractor. Strong pipeline of work in Oxford hence why they are looking at adding a strong Senior Site Manager for upcoming key projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
• Meet contractual conditions of performance
• Review the work progress on daily basis
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

• A strong main contractor background who can demonstrate career longevity, and evidence that they have managed projects from commencement to completion. Projects are liley to be 10m to 40m in commercial/labs and student accomodation.
• Proven experience of managing others through good communication.
• Flexible approach to dealing with issues and challenges
• Able to plan and organise effectively to meet tight timescales
• Manage time effectively in order to ensure that deadlines are met
• Literate in the use of IT
• SMSTS and First Aid certification
• Live in Oxford or hold an OX postcode. Applicants outside of these parameters will not be considered.
