You don't need to be a qualified teacher, you don't even need to have a degree! You do, however need to have the drive and determination to produce a good work ethic among students and motivation to focus and achieve.

It is vital you hold at least a grade C at GCSE English and Maths and are able to follow instruction, particularly as an integral part of your role will be to follow teachers lesson plans.

Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply or a long-term or permanent position it's important you fully understand and appreciate the work that it requires to teach a secondary school class, up to GCSE and perhaps even A-level and that your teaching and behaviour management skills compliment those of the classroom teacher.

The schools we work with throughout Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire are in need of confident and professional individuals with the passion for working with children in a secondary school environment.

Duties include:

Delivering work to students to replace the absent teacher
Managing behaviour ensuring students remain engaged
Being proactive ensuring students remain engaged
Working in line with the school's policies and procedures
Being flexible working across many secondary schools in the county
