The service comprises both a residential home and school. The role of the Support Worker is to be there for important milestones in the lives of learners as they progress through education.

The purpose-built school is set on the rural and picturesque New Forest area with links to Lymington. This role is commutable from Bournemouth, New Milton, Christchurch, Poole and the surrounding towns and villages. Safeguarding the Children and Young People
Managing challenging behaviours and using de-escalation methods when needed
Recording and Reporting interactions with the students

The children are supported to socialise and meet lifelong friends in a safe and nurturing environment. The approach blends a mixture of education and care with therapeutic support to focus directly on life, work and independence skills. There are qualified occupational therapists, a clinical psychologist and a team of trained carers and teachers to support both the students and to support the team to maximise the potential of the young people they care for.

Person Specification:

A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
Experience in the care sector (desirable)
The passion for working with young people and maximising their potential in life
Drivers with access to vehicles is required due to the location of the school
A sense of humour (desired)

We are looking to pay successful candidates at a competitive rate with flexible working schedule, a fully supportive work environment in a team

There is excellent training on site and the successful candidates will be encouraged to take on additional qualifications moving forwards including qualifications to progress in social care such as the Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

If you would like to start a hugely rewarding career in supporting children and young people, please do not hesitate to apply.
