About the role:
This SEND Alternative Provision, based in Torquay, supports children and young people aged 11-16 and is looking to appoint a passionate Teacher of SEND to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 classes on a full-time basis.
Working in this Secondary SEND Alternative Provision as part of an established team, the desired Teacher of SEND will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with various additional needs and abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and teaching engaging lessons to pupils in KS3 and KS4. Although schemes of work are in place, the successful teacher will be given autonomy to amend lesson plans for the benefit of pupils. The desired Teacher of SEND will have previous experience of teaching children with additional needs.
