Prototype Wirer

Location: Cambridge (CB3)
Duration: 2 months initially
Hours: 8am until 4pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: 20 - 25 per hour

Polytec are looking for a Prototype Wirer for our client based in Cambridge. This contract is expected to be for approx. 2 months, but could be extended.

Responsibilities:

Update and improve the electrical wiring on prototype instruments

Requirements:

Experience wiring complex electrical systems
Good practical skills in soldering, crimping, cable harnesses and connectors
Surface mount PCB manual rework (replacing resistors, capacitors etc)
Experience using design tools to draw up system wiring diagrams
Experience with electrical safety of machines, mains powered products to 61010 / 60204
An electrical qualification would be beneficial
Able to follow and define process instructions
