A local specialist Engineering company are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join the team at their Birtley site on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of design and engineering of control panels.

Role & Responsibilities

• Specifying and estimating of control panels from customer supplied documentation and/or site visits and meetings with our clients.
• Generation of electrical schematic diagrams including external and internal layout diagrams utilising AutoCAD Electrical software.
• Generating of Bills of Materials and other supporting documentation.

Knowledge & Experience

• Must hold HNC or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Experienced in the designing and manufacturing of industrial control panels and motor control centres
• Able to produce electrical schematic diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical
• Operational experience of SAP
• Good working knowledge of water treatment, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or paper industries
• Must be a team player, with excellent communication skills at all levels
