Mechanical Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB23) Duration: Permanent Hours: Early and late rotating shift pattern with every other Friday off Salary: 30,000 (Inclusive of 15.5% shift allowance) + 1,500 joining bonus after 6 months service Job Reference: 35106 Polytec are looking for a Mechanical Technician for our client based just outside Cambridge. You will work a rotating shift pattern as follows: Week 1 - Monday - Friday 5:45am to 1:45pm Week 2 - Monday - Wednesday 2pm to midnight, Thursday 2pm to 11:30pm, Friday off. Responsibilities: Cut and prepare tubes to tight tolerances Working from engineering drawings following manufacturing and quality procedures to a high standard Hand bend tube ranging from 1/8" diameter to 1/2" diameter Liaise with and update line manager on status of goods, ensuring that any issues are reported Requirements: Understand and interpret technical engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail with a high level of dexterity Capable of working to tight tolerances Competent in the use of hand tools and measuring equipment Ability to follow clear precise procedures / instructions Willing to learn and open to new working practices Good communication and team skills Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
