Engineering Technician, Salisbury, GBP30,000 per annum

Purpose

As an Engineering Technician for this established automotive restoration company, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that what is produced is in line with customers expectations and each day will vary dependant on the departments focus.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Using a variety of inspection tools including Verniers and Micrometres
  • Recording and documenting findings for the identification of reoccurring problems and trends
  • Visually inspecting components and assemblies for obvious defects
  • Reading technical drawings in both Metric and Imperial measurements
  • Working with the production lines and assembly teams to rectify issues
  • Carrying out packaging and manufacturing inspections, sampling, and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met
  • Assisting with drafting inspection procedures and validate or troubleshoot testing methods

As an Engineering Technician , you ll have:

  • An engineering background or related education gained through NVQ or Degree or
  • Experience within inspection or within another shopfloor role with transferable skills
  • Ability to work in a small team and have a proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills to liaise with various departments within the business
  • Competency working with computers & report writing
  • A consistent employment history with references available
