Industrial Painter

VGC Energy part of VGC Group Limited are delighted to be recruiting for Painters, preferably with ICATS, for a site in East Suffolk.

Role Brief:

This role will consist of working as part of a team in a busy environment, preparation and coating of steel structures including pipework, concrete flooring and walls, as well as a variety of other areas within an industrial environment.

Job Description

Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to:

Performing all industrial surface coating/painting duties effectively and efficiently.

Working closely with supervisors and work colleagues.

Working with various industrial painting machinery including, hand power tools, powered mechanical tools such as needle guns, bristle blasters, sanders etc.

Able to understand all painting processes and work to strict deadlines.

Ability to manage your own workload, adhering to strict Health and Safety guidelines at all times.

Candidate Specification

ICATS Certificate basic preferred

PASMA/IPAF qualified preferred

Industrial Coatings experience is desirable

NACE Coating Inspection qualification is preferred

IPAF 3a&3b and IRATA Roped Access is desirable

Other Information

Duration: Initially Temporary but may lead to Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 37.50 per week plus overtime when available

Pay Rate: GBP16.90 plus (dependent upon experience)
