Smart Teachers are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to support pupils with autism. About the role The Special Needs Teaching assistant will be asked to support pupils with autism across KS1 & KS2. If you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about supporting children with SEN, this may be the perfect role for you! The ideal candidate will have: • SEN or Early Years teaching experience whether through placement, in mainstream or special need school settings • Availability for immediate daily cover/full time work 8:30am-3:45pm Monday to Friday, with a 15-minute morning break and 30 minute lunch break for support staff. • A positive and nurturing approach to education support • PECS and Makaton (Desirable but not essential) • Local to Newham About the school The staff team here are extremely talented and skilled, and driven in wanting to give their learners access to the best opportunities possible for now, as well as later life. Requirements To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will: Have experience working in a school setting Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
