ESTIMATOR BEDWAS, CAERPHILLY PERMANENT FULL TIME SALARY £28-32K Background Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Estimator for our client, one of the UK's leading Fencing Contractors is currently seeking an Estimator to work full time out of their Bedwas office. They are a well-established organization in the Fencing industry. The company supply a wide range of perimeter fencing and hoarding products, including temporary fencing, timber fencing, steel fencing, noise barriers, gates and gate automation products, to a variety of commercial, industrial and educational organizations across the south of England. The company are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working mainly with large contractors, a proven track record, excellent industry experience, be hardworking, driven and looking to join a growing organisation. This role is a huge opportunity for someone with drive and ambition to come into the business and significantly impact the growth of the region. Support and development would be available to achieve this. Job Purpose: * Estimating * Generate sales orders for the department * Building customer relationships * Negotiating sales orders Key Accountabilities: * Estimating * Offering Value-engineering to customers * Take off drawings (measuring fence lines and gate sizes) * Negotiating with customers * Liaising with purchasing department to ensure prices are up to date * Liaising with suppliers for prices * Taking incoming enquiry calls Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience * Previous experience of Estimating * Ability to take off drawings * Experience of working within a team to ensure a full handover from Sales to Contracts * Ability to carry out costing reviews upon completion of a job * Ability to prioritise a busy workload ensuring nothing is missed Working hours will be Monday – Thursday 8.15am – 4.30pm Friday 8.15am – 3.00pm. However, it is pertinent to note that you may be required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the efficient and proper performance of your duties.
