Workshop Technician


Workshop Technician/Supervisor Location: Hemel Hempstead An opportunity has arisen to join a global leading company who specalise in providing innovative productivity solutions as a Workshop Technician/Supervisor. You’ll gain exposure working with a wide range of high-performance equipment such as pneumatic & electric tools, including assembly systems, diesel generators & compressors providing a service across the automotive, aerospace, energy, and general manufacturing sectors. Job Role As a Workshop Technician/Supervisor you’ll be expected to be responsible for the day-to-day running of their service workshop, covering aspects of workshop management including housekeeping, inventory levels and development. As well as being hands on in all parts of the repairs and being involved in bespoke projects liaising with internal departments or customer requests. Main Duties: Ensuring the functioning and maintenance of tools and equipment. Including inspections, troubleshooting, and performing repairs as needed Calibration and adjustment of DC and Pneumatic tooling for optional performance. Assembly of bespoke projects Provide a technical support to customers. Involving troubleshooting issues, offering guidance on tool usage and address any technical concerns Goods shipping and receiving customer equipment, looking, and arrangement of all deliveries to the workshop Inventory control of all spare parts and consumable items ensuring minimal stock levels are kept Liaising with subcontractors with guidance from service supervisor Essential Skills & Experience: Background knowledge in mechanical and electrical applications Hands on mechanical experience in a workshop environment Ability to solve electrical and pneumatic problems Ability to understand technical drawings PC literacy skills is essential e.g. Microsoft Office apps Experience using CRM is desirable Strong communication skills in both written and verbal Self-motivation with the ability to work alone when required Organisation, able to work to tight schedules, priories workload and meet tight deadlines Ability to express ideas, receive ideas and exchange information between the team clearly Benefits: 40 hours+ annual training provided across products, process, and self-development 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays per year Pension – after the qualifying period (6 months after auto-enrolment) he can join a full pension scheme with 5% employee contribution and 10% employer contribution Life assurance 1 x basic salary increases to 4 x basic salary once joined full pension scheme Private medical (taxable benefit) MediCash – taxable benefit, but allows employees to claim back money for things like opticians, dentists, etc If you are looking for a hands-on role working with high tech tools in an exciting and progressive working environment at a company who invest in their staff who offer learning and development with a strong emphasis on training at all levels of your career progression, then apply today
