Field based Key Account Manager This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop a client base within an already highly successful and well established organisation who is looking to sell its products within a new and untouched market sector (DIY retailers, dealers and distributors). Driving new business and accessing the key Procurement contacts within an organisation, the successful candidate developing new business and will have a fantastic opportunity to really grow and develop within the role. Previous experience selling to DIY Head Office mass retailers is key. Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Managing targeted Key account customers Targeting retail and DIY multiples Targeting dealers and distributors in the UK Securing direct sales from new listings Representing the brand within the market place Being the face of the business at trade shows and events Building long term relationships with customers Regularly reporting on sales, customer and market performanceIf you are a self-motivated and driven Account Manager who works in a consultative and relationship building manner, this will be an exciting opportunity for you to join an already successful company who is looking to expand its client base. Skills and experience required for the Key Account Manager: Demonstrable experience in Account Management Experience and / or knowledge with mass retail, DIY and / or Distributors An exceptional relationship builder Strong commercial acumen A strong team player Excellent diary and journey planning skills Willingness to travel within the UK Full driving licenceIdeal location would be within the South West Midlands - our client is based in Herefordshire. Salary - £35 - £40k (depending on experience) + OTE
