Design Manager Tier 1 Main Contractor Sector: Water / Infrastructure / Civil Engineering Location: Covering sites across Southern region, in and around London, Thames Valley, as far as Reading Mix of office, site, and home working Salary Package: Up to £85,000 + £6,000 car allowance + 10% bonus + excellent benefits package Contract: Permanent, full-time The client: Our client is one of the largest civil engineering and infrastructure specialists with 40 years’ experience working UK-wide across the water, transport, built environment and energy sectors. Looking after multiple design schemes valued between 0.5M up to £10M with a focus on water projects, it is an exciting time to join the business given their enviable order book and strong pipeline of works. The role: The successful Design Manager will be required to support the project delivery teams by providing concept, basic and detailed design solutions based on client and site-specific requirements for clean water, wastewater and biosolids treatment solutions, pipelines, trunk mains, sewers pumping stations and networks. Requirements: * Design management experience on water projects. * Experience in managing internal and external design sub-contractors. * Some M&E experience would be desirable. * Degree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineering. * Hands on, practical approach to design. * Foul water drainage system experience. * Portable water mains. * Design experience of wastewater infrastructure. * MIECA installations. * Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments * Member of a recognised engineering institution, Incorporated Engineer, or Chartered Engineer and or working towards membership To apply, please apply directly to the advertisement with an up-to-date CV.
