As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, your responsibilities will include: Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care. Supporting, coordinating and effectively assisting in the management and organisation of care within the operating department. Providing quality planned care for patients by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care. Steering the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period of time. Ensuring that patient safety checks are carried out under the policy. Contributing to quality improvement and promoting best evidence-based practice. The ideal person for the Senior Theatre Practitioner role should have: NMC or HCPC registration. A post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification. ENB 998 and/or mentorship course. An approved or recognised anaesthetic course. ILS and Orthopaedic skills. Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment. Experience managing and leading a clinical team.
