Great opportunities for a Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager working for a successful civil engineering contractor in the civils and water sector, working on projects in Kent and East Sussex Ideally looking for someon with expeience in the water sector who has worked on Thames water / Southern Water. South East Water projects Responsibilities of the Site Manager * To supervise operations of Sub Contractors on site on a day to day basis * Responsible for overseeing operations on the site on a day-to-day basis and that a project comes in safely, on time and in budget * Ensuring site safety and environmental compliance * Monitoring progress of the project * Maintaining quality control procedures * Keeping staff motivated and focused * Problem solving * Ensure processes and procedures are always complied with * Ownership of ensuring that all defects/snags are recorded and closed off, internally and by the supply chain Role Requirements of the Site manager * Be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate, and engaging approach * good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership * Managing the site Subcontractors * Ensuring that the site is always safe and environmentally compliant * Direct the subcontract team demonstrating strong Knowledge of construction processes and health and safety procedures. * Strong understanding of CDM & H&S requirements. Ideal Requirements of the Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager * Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management * Understanding of Engineering Principles * Valid driving license * Experience in the water & civils sector * A minimum of five years' experience in a site supervisor role within the water industry (preferred) * SSSTS or SMSTS * CSCS card * Temporary Works Supervisor * EUSR Water Hygiene Card * Emergency First Aid at Work On offer is a highly competitive salary, car allowance and benefit package as well as a very good career opportunity with excellent development opportunities.
