    Yearly Salary: GBP26,707.20

  • Week 1: Monday Thursday 6AM - 3PM Friday - 6AM - 11AM

  • Week 2: Monday Thursday 3PM - 12AM Friday - 11AM - 4PM
  • Full Time centred on 41 hour week


THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group is currently in search of a Production Operative. The position is located in County Durham and involves working on a day shift pattern with an early finish on Friday's!

THE ROLE

  • Ensure machines operate in accordance with agreed-upon standards for speed, cleanliness, and quality.
  • Adhere to efficient and safe production methods at all times.
  • Report any deviations or errors accurately and work with the team leader to resolve them.

  • Ensure production leaving your area is within specifications
  • Relentless pursuit of quality and presentation
  • Ensure quality control checks are undertaken and recorded in Navision as and when necessary

  • Complete Blade tracking every Blade change
  • Collaborate with Engineers to address equipment breakdowns swiftly, minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to the achievement of daily production targets.

  • Foster "Continuous Improvement" by innovating and generating new ideas.
  • Identify and isolate problem areas in systems and procedures.
  • Verify that airbags maintain the correct pressure to ensure the accurate removal of bark.

  • In cases of required log loading during downtime, coordinate with both the AKE and Loading Shovel operator, ensuring approval from the shift manager.
  • Constantly monitor cameras to ensure the smooth operation of the product.
  • When changing products, mark the first log to signify the change and communicate this information to the AKE operator.


THE PERSON

  • At least 3 years' previous experience in a similar role.
  • Must have previous experience in a high volume fast paced manufacturing/production environment.

  • Promoting a one team ethic through-out the shift.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • A willingness to work flexibly in order to ensure that business targets and objectives are achieved.
