Logistics Shift Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Shift Manager to join an internationally established automotive manufacturer working a three shift pattern.

The Logistics Supervisor will be joining a world class manufacturing organisation and will have full responsibility for shop floor logistics.

Further responsibilities include:

Manage the internal flow of pieces of materials from receipt to shipping ensuring customer delivery

Supervise preparation and loading of finished products into trucks

Track shipments and communicate all shipment failures

Investigate customer misdeliveries per million and contribute to its reduction.

Ensure production lines are supplied and assure the cleanness and tidiness of stocking area

Manage a warning system in the picking zone.

Conduct the implementation of logistics basics, booking operations, traceability, labelling and containers management

Monitor visual management systems by deploying FIFO

Manage, train and coach logistics operators.

Ideally, candidates will have experience of working within a high volume manufacturing arena and be fully conversant with shop floor logistics managing materials from receipt through to dispatch.
