Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to accurately estimate costs, monitor budgets, and maximize profitability. Responsibilities: * Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses. * Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities. * Monitor project budgets and expenditures throughout the construction process. * Prepare and negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations with subcontractors and suppliers. * Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify issues, and address any cost-related concerns. * Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial objectives. * Provide timely and accurate cost reports and forecasts to senior management. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. * Proficiency in construction cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis. * Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Familiarity with construction software and tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, or BIM. Preferred Qualifications: * Chartered Membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent professional accreditation. * Experience working on a variety of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and civil engineering. * Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building technologies. * Understanding of risk management principles and techniques.
