Quantity Surveyor

Workload are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join an established contractor. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost control and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. Your expertise in quantity surveying will contribute to the successful execution of construction projects. The role will be hybrid working. Duties: - Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects - Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements - Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost savings - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular reports - Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate contracts - Review and approve payment applications from contractors - Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with contract specifications - Resolve any disputes or issues related to costs or quantities Experience: - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry in industrial, commercial or residential - Strong knowledge of cost control methods and techniques - Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication and negotiation skills
