Area Surveyor

Introduction Our client, an esteemed public sector organization, is currently seeking an Area Surveyor to join their team. As an Area Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing responsive works within a defined area of Oxford. Your expertise in building surveying will ensure that all repairs and maintenance-related issues are effectively managed to maintain the high standards set by the organization. Key Responsibilities Commissioning and monitoring responsive works to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Handling contractor escalations, approving works, and addressing any issues that may arise. Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate repairs and maintenance activities. Identifying and addressing trends, generating reports, and managing complaints and disrepair claims. Utilizing your technical expertise to interpret data and make informed decisions. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all repair and maintenance-related matters within your defined area. Job Requirements Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a busy and dynamic environment. Strong knowledge and expertise in building surveying. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record in managing repair and maintenance issues, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Proficient in IT systems, with the ability to interpret and analyze data. Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and use initiative. Detail-oriented approach, coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
