Essex based company seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This company specialises in the design and assembly of highly complex automated machinery. Mechanical Design Engineer £30k - £40k + Pension, Healthcare, Flexitime Essex Ref: 23631 Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role: ⦁ Producing mechanical design/drawings for systems and equipment ⦁ Generating & maintaining existing mechanical Layout, Enclosure, Conveyor, Ductwork, Jigs & Fixture drawings ⦁ Producing supporting documentation – BOMs, Schematics, Schedules, Sub Assembly darwings, etc. ⦁ Assisting with other tasks within the Drawing Office Department ie: site surveys ⦁ Manage version control using AutoDesk Vault Data Management software Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person: ⦁ Familiarity within an automated production machinery environment ⦁ Experience of 2D & 3D CAD – AutoCAD, Inventor desirable but can consider other packages such as Solidworks ⦁ Understanding of technical and safety standards such as BS 8888, ATEX ⦁ Recognised engineering certification/apprenticeship ⦁ Good understanding of conveyor, airflow, ductwork designs and calculations Located in Essex, this role would be commutable from Southend-on-Sea, Chelmsford, Billericay, and Tilbury.
